Empowering Student Leadership: USAID-Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) Training at UET Lahore

Ushering in a wave of empowerment and strategic development, the USAID-Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) program organized an impactful training on Student Leadership and Programming at UET Lahore from December 4th to 7th. This significant event drew the participation of professionals deeply invested in educational advancement, consequently emphasizing the commitment to development within the academic realm. Dr. Ali Ahmed and Dr. Qasim Shaukat Khan, both working as Associate Professors at The Department of Civil Engineering at University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, participated in the workshop training.

HESSA Training provided a dynamic platform, fostering collaboration between Student Advisors from various societies of UET and LCWU, alongside international trainers. The sessions focused prominently on leveraging the GALLUP Quest Survey, illuminating the strengths and capabilities of participants and guiding their developmental trajectories.

Crafted with innovation and engagement in mind, the sessions featured meticulously designed activities such as the Scavenger Hunt and ‘Balconies and Basements.’ These activities were strategically employed to promote teamwork, camaraderie, and problem-solving skills, laying a robust foundation for holistic leadership and programming approaches.
