Dr. Muhammad Ali Falak of Civil Engineering Department Recognized for Excellence in Climate Change Leadership

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges facing our world today, with far-reaching impacts on ecosystems, human health, and global economies. Rising temperatures, sea-level rise, increased frequency of extreme weather events, and disruptions to food and water supplies are just a few of the critical issues that require urgent attention and action. The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) plays a pivotal role in addressing climate change through education, research, innovation, and community engagement. Currently, Dr. Muhammad Ali Falak, faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering received the prestigious Pakistan-US- Alumni Network Emerging Leaders Award 2024 for Outstanding Contributions and Leadership in the field of Climate Change. The award was presented by Ms. Kristin K. Hawkins, US Consul General Lahore. “As a proud PUAN member and Fulbright alumnus, I am committed to continuing my efforts to advance education and drive impactful change in our community,” said Dr. Muhammad Ali Falak.
