Civil Engineering Department, UET Lahore arranged a seminar titled “New Horizons for Civil Engineering Students, offered by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) UK” on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The speaker of the event was Dr. Javed Yunas Uppal, Country Representative for Pakistan at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) UK. He is an alumnus of the Civil Engineering Department, UET Lahore from 1961 session. Prof. Dr. Noor Muhammad Khan, Chairman Civil Engineering Department welcomed the guest and presented him with a bouquet.
The speaker explained different opprutnities that Institution of Civil Engineers offers to students and professional engineers. He also described the detailed procedure to acquire the prestegeous title of Chatered Engineer (UK).
The presentation was followed by a question & answer session. In the end, Prof. Dr. Asad Ullah Qazi gave concluding remarks and presented a shield to the guest.
