The Al-Khwarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS) at UET Lahore successfully organized a comprehensive workshop titled “Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Generative AI” on 11th July 2024. The event took place in the Seminar Hall (C3) and computer lab (CL3) of the Department of Civil Engineering and was attended by esteemed faculty members from various departments.
Workshop Objectives
The workshop aimed to:
- Empower Educators: Equip faculty members with essential skills and insights into AI and Generative AI.
- Practical AI Applications: Provide hands-on sessions to familiarize participants with practical applications of AI/GenAI, including machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and prompt engineering.

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members across various departments. From the Department of Transportation Engineering and Management, the participants were Dr. Izza Anwer, Dr. Abdur Rahim, Dr. Mujasim Ali Rizvi, and Engr. Muhammad Sohail Jameel.
This day-long workshop, which started at 10:00 AM, was a resounding success, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge to the participants. The engaging sessions, led by experts in the field, left the attendees inspired and better equipped to leverage AI technologies in their educational and research endeavors.
