Our guest speaker for the event will be Engr. Sohail Kibria, an eminent civil and geotechnical engineer of Pakistan with more than four decades of rich professional, academic, research, and management experience in Pakistan and abroad. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from UET Lahore. He has worked on a wide range of national and international engineering projects, including dams, highways, buildings, airports, bridges, hydropower projects, and nuclear power plants.
Engr. Kibria has served as Vice President and Head R&D at NESPAK, Director Technical & QC at Pakistan Engineering Services (PES), and is currently serving as Director Technical at Aziz Steel Industries. He is also associated with various academic and professional bodies as a visiting faculty member, research reviewer, trainer, and advisor. He has authored a large number of research papers and is widely recognized for his contributions to geotechnical engineering and professional training.
