Distinguished Alumnus Engr. Moazzam Khan (61-UET) Visits Department of Civil Engineering, UET Lahore

The Department of Civil Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, had the honor of welcoming its distinguished alumnus, Engr. Moazzam Khan (61-UET), who visited the department along with his granddaughter. His batch was the first batch bearing UET registration no. on establishment of UET in 1961. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zia ud Din Mian.

Engr. Moazzam Khan shared that the purpose of his visit was to show his granddaughter the institution from where he graduated, reconnect with his alma mater, and introduce her to the academic environment and rich cultural heritage of Lahore. During the visit, he toured the department and interacted warmly with faculty members.

A meeting was held with the Dean, Chairperson, and faculty members, during which discussions took place on the department’s academic progress, alumni engagement, and future development initiatives. The interaction reflected the strong and enduring relationship between the Department of Civil Engineering and its alumni.

In a generous gesture of support, Engr. Moazzam Khan donated PKR 500,000 to the Civil Engineering Endowment Fund, contributing towards student welfare and the continued development of the department.

The Department of Civil Engineering sincerely appreciates the visit of Engr. Moazzam Khan (61-UET) and Prof. Dr. Zia ud Din Mian, and expresses deep gratitude for the generous contribution. Such engagements strengthen alumni ties and serve as an inspiration for current students.
