The Department of Civil Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, welcomed a delegation from the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) on 4th September 2025.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between academia and public sector organizations in the field of housing, urban development, and sustainable planning. During the interaction, faculty members and PHATA officials exchanged views on contemporary challenges in housing and town planning, and discussed opportunities for joint initiatives, research, and practical training for students.
This engagement highlights the Department’s commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with exposure to real-world issues while supporting government agencies in developing sustainable and innovative solutions for urban growth.
