Civil Engineering Department arranged a seminar titled “A Practical Approach to Implementation of Engineering Projects” on Wednesday, 16th November 2022. The guest speaker of the event was Engr. Saqib Zia. He did his B.Sc in Civil Engineering from UET Taxila and M.Sc in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho, USA. He has more than thirtyeight years of experience in different aspects of water resources projects with specialization in hydrology and sedimentation. He has worked with multiple national and international organizations as an expert of water resources and project management.
Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq, Chairman Civil Engineering Department welcomed the guest and presented him with a bouquet. The guest talked about different aspects of engineering projects’ implementation such as project planning cycle, feasibility studies, project life cycle, project approving forums and their powers, different proforma of planning commission, procedures for procurement of consultancy services, and financial analysis of the projects etc.
Faculty members and a large number of students attended the seminar. In the end, Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman presented a shield to the guest.
